John M. Bissell, Sales Manager, Eastern Region, retired
from Allied Mineral Products, Inc. on March 31, 2009 after 34 years of
outstanding service. John
graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a BS in Economics and worked as a
Sales Engineer for General Refractories Company in
Detroit
and Philadelphia.
John joined Allied Mineral Products, Inc. in May 1975
after being recognized as a confident salesman with excellent
communication skills. He was
instrumental in developing Allied’s induction furnace refractory market
through ground breaking sales efforts in the late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
Based in Philadelphia,
PA, John has been Sales Manager,
Eastern Region for the past 18 years.
Under his direction, Allied continues to have a strong market
position in this region.
John was also a member of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology
and the American Foundry Society for more than 35 years.
Allied thanks John for his dedication and hard work
over the years. His
contagious enthusiasm for “the Allied Way” will be missed.

him and his wife, Mickey, a long and happy retirement.
