The world’s largest foundry show was
held June 12-16 in Dusseldorf, Germany. More than 77,000 visitors from 80
countries attended the combined tradeshows of GIFA, Metec, Thermprocess
and Newcast 2007. This was an 8 percent increase over the last show in
2003.
Allied Mineral Products
participated in the GIFA area of the show and had a spectacular turnout as
well. There was a stronger international presence at this year’s show,
and Allied’s booth reflected this change as well. Allied’s worldwide
presence was clear as it had sales personnel from 15 different countries
represented in the booth. Allied’s booth was busy constantly with
visitors from around the globe.
At the GIFA 2007 tradefair, Allied
featured information on fiber reinforced dry vibratable refractories, the
Electric Vibration System for refractory installation and MATRIVIBE as dry
back-up for precast shapes.
Fiber reinforced DRI-VIBE® reduces cracking and finning in
zinc and Galvalume and aluminum furnaces. It also offers improved
resistance to mechanical abrasion and thermal cycling, thus providing
longer lining life. Allied’s patented Electric Vibration System (EVS) was
displayed to demonstrate how it can improve installations of dry
vibratable refractory, lower labor costs and reduce furnace reline time.
DRI-LITE® and MATRIVIBE are ideal for use as a molten metal containing
back up lining to precast shapes, especially in aluminum subhearths and
launders. Both products install quickly with no forming or drying
needed. This fast installation can cut days off reline time.
In addition to these featured items, Allied focused on its
ability to provide custom refractory solutions to fit the individual needs
of each customer. Allied also provides custom lining designs for optimum
thermal and mechanical characteristics, leading edge refractory technology
and personalized sales and service support. Allied Mineral Products, Inc.
has been independently owned and operated since 1961 and is ISO 9001
certified. For more information visit http://www.alliedmineral.com. |
